March 25 - 07:00pm - 09:30pm
Around the globe, millions of people, businesses, and landmarks set aside an hour to host events, switch off their lights, and make noise for climate change action. This year Earth Hour is at 8:30 p.m. on 25 March 2017.
Join us for Glow in the Dark skate at Brennan Park Recreation Centre from 7 to 9 p.m. We turn down the lights and skate by the glow of our disco ball, black lights, and glow sticks. Wear your best neon/glow in the dark outfit! (regular admission rates apply)
The District will take part by turning off non-essential lighting and shutting down all workstations not in use during that time.
How you can take part
Host an event yourself! Go big or small. Keep it simple and host a candle-lit dinner, or stargazing, or simply switch your lights off for an hour. Want to a little bigger? Host an Earth Hour party. For more ways to show your support, visit the Earth Hour website.
