Open House scheduled to involve the community in the development of long-term coastal flood protection options
Nominations for the 2014 Municipal Election are now closed. The list of the 2014 election candidates and their contact information, as of the close of the nomination period (October 10 at 4 p.m.), can be viewed online on our Election page.
Residents are invited to attend two upcoming public information events being held at the Squamish Farmer’s Market on October 18 and October 25.
A developer has been chosen for the Squamish Oceanfront lands. Negotiations will now begin with a deal expected by mid 2014.
The new Integrated Flood Hazard Management Plan (IFHMP) will guide development and land use in Squamish for years to come.
The Open House will provide information on flood risks in Squamish and seeks public feedback on long-term coastal flood protection options to protect against anticipated sea level rise.
