Squamish Community Garden Plots

Grow your own food in a community garden plot

Community Garden Plots

Stable, reliable food sources are essential for healthy communities. The health, environmental and economic benefits of growing your own food are numerous. By ensuring the availability of community garden plots, Squamish is able to provide excellent opportunities for locally-grown produce to those who are not able to grow their own food at home.

Several community garden programs operate in Squamish. The District of Squamish runs the Village Greenway garden plots at Eagle Wind Housing Development. Contact Brennan Park Recreation Centre at 604.898.3604 for more information.

Squamish Climate Action Network (CAN) operates multiple community gardens:

  • Two gardens downtown, located on Main Street between Cleveland Avenue and Second Avenue. Email CAN Grow for information.
  • Mamquam Road at Highway 99. Email CAN Grow for information.
  • Mamquam Edible School Yard Project at Mamquam Elementary School. For further information, please email the Mamquam Edible School Yard Project.
