As part of the celebration, the Squamish Rotary will be hosting a Hockey Friendly at Brennan Park Arena between a team representing Canada (PIJHL Squamish Wolfpack) vs. a team representing the USA (Hockey Tier III Junior A Twin Cities Northern Lights Junior Hockey out of Bloomington, Minnesota). At 6:00pm the celebration will begin outside in the back parking lot behind Brennan Park with live music and special interactive displays from Olympic Torch Relay Sponsors Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) and Coca Cola. The cauldron on stage will be lit by a special guest from Squamish, hand selected from a number of applications.. Throughout the celebration, spectators will enjoy entertainment from a large array of musical, multicultural, and historical talent all from the Squamish area including a Logger Sports Show that you won’t want to miss! The evening will end on a ‘grand’ scale promptly at 8pm
