The Community Emergency Plan is a reference which management staff and responders utilize as a guide as they respond to emergencies
Neighbourhood Emergency Preparedness
The District of Squamish will assist you and your neighbours organize your area or neighbourhood into a response network to help each other if the situation is so significant that “official” help may take some time to get there, which could occur if access is blocked or the demand for assistance is overwhelming for the available resources.
The lesson has been learned world wide - first response is neighbour helping neighbour.

Personal preparedness is ensuring you and your family are ready for potentially 72 hours or 3 days of “being on your own” for food, clothing and shelter. Further information is available on the Provincial Emergency Program website.
