If you are a positive, energetic team player with excellent interpersonal skills, consider a career with the District of Squamish. The District welcomes applications for posted and/or advertised positions; however, we are unable to accept unsolicited applications.

How to Apply

To assist us in reducing paper consumption and to support our pledge to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the District requests you submit your resume by email. 

All information provided will be considered confidential and will only be used and disclosed for the purpose of determining the hire for the specific competition you have applied for.

Send your resume and a cover letter as a PDF or DOC attachment to this email. Be sure to include in the subject line, the position name and/or competition number you are applying for, as well as your first and last name.

Hiring Process

The hiring process at the District of Squamish includes:

  • Personal interviews for those candidates who have demonstrate the abilities and skills we are looking for in their resumes and cover letters. These interviews are opportunities for us to learn more about you and for you to learn more about us. You may be asked to supply references at this stage.
  • Reference check(s) for the short-listed candidate(s).
  • The successful candidate will receive an offer of employment or an employment contract for their signature and, if required for the position, a criminal records check.

All candidates who are interviewed for positions will be contacted upon completion of the interview process.
