Jason Blackman-Wulff

Thank you to our hosts, the Squamish Nation, whose traditional territory includes the municipality of the District of Squamish.  The people of the Squamish Nation have existed and prospered within this traditional territory since time immemorial; reconciliation with Indigenous communities is a core value that I carry with me every day in both my work and personal life.

Throughout my career I have been working to advocate for progressive urban planning that creates walkable and livable communities while preserving habitat that sustains our natural ecosystems.  I hold a Master of Arts in Planning from the University of British Columbia.  I have worked in the public and private sector as an urban planner and have worked to serve constituents for Members of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia.

It is honour to have been first elected in 2014 to serve my community and work toward a vision of an inclusive and prosperous future for Squamish that includes opportunities for everyone to be a part of our community.  Priorities I am working on include smart growth, affordable housing, affordable youth recreation, active transportation, and food security.
