Extended libary hours begin June 1

The library’s doors are set to open five additional hours a week to serve the community. Beginning June 1, the library opens at 11 a.m. Monday to Thursday, an hour earlier than before, and will remain open until 8 p.m. (same as previously).

New Friday hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., closing an hour later. Saturday and Sunday hours remain 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

"We are thrilled to extend our hours and be even more available to the community, seven days a week," says Director of Library Services, Hilary Bloom. "The District recognizes how important morning open hours are to our patrons, and we are proud to have achieved this, while still remaining open into the evenings four days a week. A later closing time on Fridays will also better serve patrons who are stocking up on materials for the weekend.”

Visit the Squamish Public Library website for information on the wide range of services and offerings available - both electronically and in person.
