Oceanfront Lands Policy and Bylaw Update Presentations to take place Monday, February 16

The Squamish Oceanfront Lands policy and bylaw update presentations will take place at a special Committee of the Whole meeting this Monday, February 16 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.

The Purchase and Sale Agreement between the District of Squamish/Squamish Oceanfront Development Corporation and Matthews Southwest/Bethel Lands Corporation outlines the terms and conditions required for the land transaction to occur. Similar to other real estate transactions, this list of terms and conditions needs to be satisfied prior to the completion of the transaction. Such conditions, for example, completion of an updated Development Cost Charge bylaw, Rezoning Bylaw, Community Amenity Contribution Policy, and Revitalization Tax Exemption Bylaw, will be brought before Council at this upcoming meeting.

The meeting agenda provides links to the reports outlined above. Everyone is welcome to attend this meeting. The meeting will also be streamed live at www.squamish.ca/livemeeting.

Details of the Memorandum of Understanding, the Purchase and Sale Agreement and the Limited Partner Agreement are available for viewing and download from the SODC website.
