Squamish Excellence Training

Thanks to a new partnership together with the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Squamish, we’re launching a series of workforce training programs that are uniquely designed for Squamish businesses. Expect training programs for all levels of employees in the community, including front-line customer service staff, managers and executives. The program will help enhance employee engagement which has a direct impact on employee retention statistics and productivity.

Exporting Squamish

Date: Wednesday, June 6

Time: 30-Minute Appointments From 12:00 to 4:00p.m.

Location: Squamish Adventure Centre Boardroom

Are you looking to grow your business? Did you know that Squamish is a great place to export internationally? Join us to learn about how you can grow your small business through exports, including attending tradeshows abroad, securing international distributors, and more.

At this event, you'll have an opportunity to sign-up for a free 30-minute advising session with an export advisor (and local Squamish resident) from Export Development Canada. Sesssions will be running from 12:00 noon until 4:00p.m. After you register, staff from the Squamish Economic Development team will follow up to schedule you for a specific timeslot with our export advisor. 

Space for appointments is limited; pre-registration is required.

Gondola Employee Job Fair

Date: Friday, August 16, 2019

Time: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Location: Squamish Adventure Centre Theatre 

Has your job has been impacted by the Gondola closure? Are you a local business able to offer employment opportunities?

The incident at the Sea to Sky Gondola on Saturday, August 10 has impacted not only industry but many members of the community. Many employees have been affected by the temporary closure and are seeking alternate employment.  

The Squamish Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Squamish, in conjunction with the Sea to Sky Gondola, are hosting a local job fair for impacted employees.

  • Gondola employees seeking job opportunities are invited to attend
  • Positions will be displayed in the Squamish Adventure Centre Theatre
  • Recruiting businesses are encouraged to attend and meet candidates in person
