When: October 09 - 04:00pm - 06:00pm

Where: Brackendale Art Gallery

Residents are invited to an in-person open house to learn more about proposed amendments to the Zoning Bylaw regarding the allowed number of units, lot coverage and setbacks in flood hazard areas.

These amendments are required following recent changes to the Zoning Bylaw as part of the Province’s Bill 44 legislation and the Squamish Housing Action Plan.

These updates will include:

  • Introduction of new R-2, R-3, R-4, and R-5 zones.
  • Permit a wider array of housing types and increase the potential range of siting options.

The open house will include:

  • A general overview of the proposed amendments.
  • A casual discussion with District staff with opportunities for questions and comments etc.
  • Refreshments (tea and coffee).

All information from the in-person event will be available online at letstalksquamish.ca/housing
