Funding Infrastructure for Growth
The District invests tens of millions of dollars each year in infrastructure renewal to meet and sustain the needs of the community now and into the future. This work is guided by 15 Master Plans developed to help us identify and prioritize our infrastructure investments, maintenance and replacement through 2049, and a 10-year capital planning financial model to identify how to fund it all.
Please join Mayor Karen Elliott, Acting Mayor Doug Race and District of Squamish staff on Wednesday, April 13 from 12 to 1 p.m. at Municipal Hall to learn and ask questions about the master planning process, how capital plans are prioritized and funded, as well as major capital projects planned for 2022 including facilities upgrades and the Waste Water Treatment Plant project.
RSVP is encouraged to communications@squamish.ca.

Under present circumstances, and the general unrest around Council, why on earth would these information events not be scheduled so that anyone can attend? Not terribly strategic.

Hello Adriana,
Thank you for your message. Mayor's Drop-Ins are typically held monthly between 12 and 1 p.m. to allow community members to attend during their lunch break. Some evening sessions have been held to accommodate members of the community who are not able to attend during weekday business hours.
As infrastructure funding is a topic of interest to many residents, we are aiming to host an encore evening session for those who are unable to attend tomorrow's daytime session. Once the timing of that session is finalized, we would be happy to notify you in the event you are able to join us.
