Residential Campfire Permit

This permit will be issued by the Fire Chief of Squamish Fire Rescue.

Once you have completed this online application you will receive an email from the District of Squamish, containing your Residential Campfire Permit. You MUST PRINT and/or SAVE THIS FILE TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE. Proof of registration is required in order for you to have a campfire on your residential property. This permit is valid for as long as you live at this property.  You do not need to renew annually.

In order to be in compliance with the conditions of the Fire Services Bylaw No. 2314, 2014, the registered address as listed on your Residential Campfire Permit must match your current physical location. THE FIRE CHIEF AND/OR DESIGNATED FIRE OFFICER MAY ASK YOU TO PRESENT A COPY OF THIS PERMIT AT ANY TIME.

The information collected will be retained and disposed according to the District of Squamish Records Management Bylaw No. 2622, 2019 and the District of Squamish Records Classification and Retention Schedule. Permit Conditions

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. By agreeing to these conditions and registering your residential property, you the permit holder are acknowledging that you have read, understood, and will abide by the rules and regulations of this permit.

Persons who do not comply with Section 11.1 (b) of the District of Squamish Fire Service Bylaw No.2314, 2014 may be subject to a $250.00 fine as per Schedule V of the Municipal Ticket Information Bylaw No.1832, 2004.

Please be advised; if and when an open fire ban for the District of Squamish boundaries occurs, you will be notified by email. At that time your campfire permit will be under suspension until further notice.

Failure to comply with this prohibition and restrictions may result in a fine for each individual on scene.
