Fireworks Permit Application

This permit will be issued by the Fire Chief of Squamish Fire Rescue.

Once you have completed this online application you will receive an email from the District of Squamish, containing your Fireworks Permit.

You MUST PRINT and/or SAVE THIS FILE TO YOUR MOBILE DEVICE. A copy of this permit MUST be available for viewing by a member of the Fire Department, RCMP or Bylaw Services upon request.

In order to be in compliance with the conditions of the Fire Services Bylaw No. 2314, 2014, please read below carefully.

A permit is only valid for the date and times specified within the District of Squamish boundary. 

Fireworks are allowed to be discharged on private, residential between 8 pm on December 31 to 12:30 am on January 1, 2024.

In consideration of the District issuing a Fireworks Permit, the applicant covenants and agrees to waive, indemnify and hold harmless the District of Squamish and its elected officials, employees, servants, agents, and successors from and against any and all manner of actions or causes of action, damages, costs, loss or expenses of whatever kind (including, without limitation, legal fees) which the District or its elected officials, employees, servants, agents, and successors may sustain, incur, or be put to be reason of or arising out of:

1)      issuance of this permit;

2)      the fireworks display, including, without limitation, the handling, storage, firing, setting off, exploding or other use of fireworks in connection therewith;

3)      the applicant’s use or occupation of the location upon which the fireworks display is to occur; or

4)      any act or omission of the applicant or any person for whom the Applicant is at law, responsible, including, without limitation, the non-observance or non-performance of any obligation imposed by federal or provincial law.

Personal information collected through this form will only be used for the purpose of fireworks permits. The information collected will be retained and disposed according to the District of Squamish Records Management Bylaw No. 2622, 2019 and the District of Squamish Records Classification and Retention Schedule. By agreeing to these conditions and registering your residential property, you the permit holder are acknowledging that you have read, understood, and will abide by the rules and regulations of this permit.  

PERMIT CONDITIONS PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.
