Youth Services

Make sure to bookmark this page and check out the links on the sidebar to see program information, a youth focused monthly calendar, and resources for youth in crisis.

big thingsAfter comprehensive collaboration with Squamish’s youth and partner agencies, the District adopted a Youth Strategy in late 2019.

The previously closed Squamish Youth Resource Centre is being replaced by the new Foundry Squamish Centre where youth aged 12-24 will be able to access primary care, youth and family peer supports, walk-in counselling, mental health and substance use services, and social services all under one roof. For more information about Foundry Squamish, please visit here:

what does this mean A key value of "Bring the Programs to the Youth" was identified and as such, programming should occur in places such as the new Youth Hub, neighbourhood centres, library, recreation facilities and schools. Youth also requested that the District and partner agencies expand programming, most notably in the areas of Recreation, Arts & Culture, Health and Wellness, Leadership, and Life Skills.

Youth Services programs provide access to a variety of programming and services for youth ages 12 to 24 years old. Programs range from drop in space, curated programs and activities, workshops, training’s, outings, community outreach, school programs and more.

Youth can access support, resources and referrals to mental health and primary care services. Programs are based in Squamish and welcome all youth.

Where? I see no address where this Center is going to be.So many wonderful programs being organized for Youth...
When is the District going to recognize that there is a Senior population in Squamish that needs the same attention the Youth are getting. Don’t sideline we Seniors!!
