Municipal Campground

As of Monday, June 29, the District of Squamish’s Municipal Campground is open for monthly rentals.

We have introduced a subsidized rate for recipients of the CERB benefit or Income Assistance that aligns with our low income access program rate of 50% fee reduction. This amounts to $375 per month + tax.

This resource is to support the public health concerns of van dwellers and others living in our community on a long term unsheltered basis, without access to appropriate sanitation.

The intention of this resource is not for short term visitors and to achieve this we are have monthly rentals only.

RCMP and Bylaw are here to support a harmonious environment. Vancouver Coastal Health resources will be doing outreach to the campground to ensure safety and connection to appropriate services.

The campground is located off of Highway 99 at 39275 Loggers Lane between Finch Drive and Centennial Way.

How rustic are these camp sites? Are there any washrooms or showers? There's no mention about these facilities anywhere in your description above. Are these for self-contained RV's only? You've posted all kinds of rules and regulation, but very little in the way of a description of the features of the campsite.

Hi Jay. Thanks for your message! We will update the page with information about the campground facilities. The campground has port-a-toilets and potable water at common taps. There are no power or water hook ups and no sani-dump. Hope this helps! If you have any other questions, please contact Brennan Park Recreation Centre at 604.898.3604.

If my math is correct, you allow up to 318 people in the campground and only provide 4 go-cans! Gross...
