Downtown Squamish's newest hot spot

 serves up fresh energy this festive season and beyond. The 55 Activity Centre is Downtown’s newest hub for health, wellness, socializing, education, and arts.A new name, expanded hours, and a fresh approach to food and beverage is serving up a vibrant new energy to welcome Squamish’s adult population through its doors. The 55 was formerly the Squamish Seniors’ Centre.

Get your caffeine fix and healthy meal options at The 55!

Under new management, the Eagle Wind Café now serves espresso-based coffees as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner offering healthy choices, traditional favourites, and indulgent treats. Using locally-sourced food, the café offers affordable specials each week.

Get Active 55y+ Pass

Squamish Seniors' Centre Society

The Squamish Seniors’ Centre Society is made up of hardworking volunteers who collaborate with Recreation Services staff and fulfill the following roles:

  • To be consulted on, to advise, and/or make recommendations to Recreation Services staff regarding programming/activity options and opportunities
  • Support and promote volunteerism amongst older adults in the community.
  • Seek fundraising and grant opportunities to potentially augment the services,programs, and activities available for older adults.
  • Engage with community members to ensure that the community’s recreational needs.
