The newly named 55 Activity Centre (formerly Seniors' Centre) offers programming opportunities for health and wellness, visual and performing arts, social opportunities and events, education, and intergenerational connections for Squamish’s diverse adult population across a wide range of ages, interests, and abilities. The 55 offers a welcoming space for adults and those 55+ to meet and connect with other locals. The centre also includes a café that is open to the public and activity rooms that are available to rent for meetings, social gatherings, and special presentations.

Clock Tower Café

The Clock Tower Café is located inside The 55 Activity Centre

Current hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m - 2 p.m.

Saturday: 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

The Clock Tower Cafe offers a variety of hot and cold drinks, all-day breakfast, daily entree specials, soups, sandwiches and delicious sweet and savoury snacks.The Café is open to all ages of the general public.

Squamish Seniors' Centre Society

The Squamish Seniors’ Centre Society is made up of hardworking volunteers who collaborate with Recreation Services staff and fulfill the following roles:

  • To be consulted on, to advise, and/or make recommendations to Recreation Services staff regarding programming/activity options and opportunities
  • Support and promote volunteerism amongst older adults in the community.
  • Seek fundraising and grant opportunities to potentially augment the services,programs, and activities available for older adults.
  • Engage with community members to ensure that the community’s recreational needs.
