Supporting Squamish’s vehicle-dwelling and vulnerable populations

The District of Squamish values the life and safety of all community members, and aims to balance the perspectives and values shared among the year-round van-dwelling community of residents who live and work in Squamish, while balancing the needs of other residents.

Simultaneously, the District’s goal is to decrease camping within sensitive areas and public land, and minimize the corresponding environmental, neighbourhood and waste management impacts including the improper disposal of human waste and garbage.
