Candidate orientation sessions: August 22 and September 10

The District will be hosting two candidate orientation sessions for those who are thinking of running for Mayor, Councillor or School Trustee: Wednesday, August 22 at 6 p.m. and Monday, September 10 at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers.  

If you are interested in running for office and have some questions about your campaign or elected position, please join us for an informal presentation and chat.


General election information

General Voting day is Saturday, October 20, 2018, the third Saturday in October. 

Local Government Elections are held every four years. Citizens of the District of Squamish will elect one Mayor, six Councillors, and two School Trustees.
