The proposed bylaws would amend the Zoning Bylaw and terminate a Land Use Contract to permit a mixed use residential and commercial development. The CD-91 Zone would facilitate the development of a mixed use building with approximately 195 residential units, a minimum 10% of the floor area as dedicated commercial space, and a 1,161 m2 pocket park at the southwest corner. 

To rezone the subject property from Multiple Family Residential (RM-3) Zone to Comprehensive Development Zone No. 91 (CD-91)

To terminate the Land Use Contract on title which does not permit any new construction on the land.

A copy of the proposed bylaws and related information that has been or may be considered by the Council may be inspected on the online Development Showcase on in person at Municipal Hall, 37955 Second Avenue, Squamish, British Columbia, from September 13 to September 25, 2018 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday to Thursday inclusive, and between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Fridays, excluding statutory holidays.

Persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by the proposed bylaws will have an opportunity to be heard and to present written submissions at the Public Hearing or, if unable to attend, may deliver a written submission to the General Manager of Corporate Services or send via email to by 4 p.m. on the date of the Public Hearing.  

All submissions will form part of the public record.

Council will not consider submissions received after the close of the Public Hearing.
