Phase 1 of the 2020 Zoning Bylaw Update includes consideration of 25 bylaws, including: 18 bylaws to amend the Zoning Bylaw, six (6) bylaws to amend the Official Community Plan (OCP), and one (1) bylaw to terminate a Land Use Contract.

Phase 1 of the Zoning Bylaw Update seeks to align zoning with the OCP and clarify OCP policy where necessary.

 WHAT'S PROPOSED:

A. Rezone Large Greenfield Properties Zoned RS-1 to Multiple Unit Residential 5 (RM-5)

B.  Rezone Unsurveyed Crown Land and Private Land Outside of Growth Management Boundary from RS-1 to Park, Recreational and Institutional Use (P-3) and Resource (RE)

C. Rezone Parcel off Aspen Road from Multiple Unit Residential 2 (RM-2) to Neighbourhood Node Commercial (C-13)

D. ** DELAYED ** Amend land use designation for select high flood hazard parcels from Parks, Greenway Corridors and Recreation to Agriculture and rezone to Agriculture 3 (AGRI-3)

E.  Rezone RE Parcel Along Highway 99 to Highway 99 Ecotourism (C-12)

F** DELAYED ** Prohibit commercial bottling and export of water within the District of Squamish

G. Amend zoning of large C-4 properties

H. Allocate University Housing Units in UH-1 Zone

I. Rezone undeveloped C-9 parcel along Highway 99 to Highway Adventure Commercial (C-11)
