District of Squamish celebrates Small Business Week

The District of Squamish is joining small businesses and entrepreneurs across the country in celebrating Small Business Week from October 15 to 19 with resources and events to support small business in Squamish. 

Squamish Business Hub Launch 

Drop by Municipal Hall on Wednesday, October 17 between 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. to learn about all of the resources and organizations available to small business owners in Squamish, with our new self-serve business hub! The Squamish Business Hub will be accessible on a daily basis during Municipal Hall operating hours for entrepreneurs and small business owners to gain access to tools and resources whether you're thinking of launching a business or taking your existing business to the next level. Meet representatives from our partner organizations Futurpreneur, WorkBC and Cutting Barriers, enjoy a cup of coffee and find out how we can help you develop or grow your small business. 

Squamish Business Guide

The new Squamish Business Guide is packed with valuable information, tips and tools to help entrepreneurs and small business owners start and grow a business in Squamish. Check out the 18-page guide for information on how to develop talent, boost productivity, access funding and test the viability of your business idea.

Join us for a two-hour hands on workshop to rethink everything you know about sales philosophy, customer engagement and increasing your business results. This workshop is suitable for anyone working with customers whether face-to-face, on the phone or via technology platforms. This event is hosted in partnership with the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Squamish. Thursday, October 25 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Aligned Collective

Ignite Your Hiring 

Join us to gain new ideas, and learn about resources to support you in your hiring and retention. Whether you're operating a retail, trades-based, or a technology company, this event will introduce you to a range of available hiring support programs, and new ideas that can help you meet your staffing goals. This event is hosted in partnership with the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and WorkBC Sea to Sky. Thursday, November 29 from 12:15 to 2:30 p.m. at the Squamish Public Library
