Environment Canada has issued a heavy rainfall warning for Howe Sound, including Squamish.
A subtropical plume of moisture will produce rain, heavy at times, through Thursday, November 1 and overnight before easing off on Friday morning.
Total rainfall accumulations of 50 to 80 mm are expected over this 24 hour period for northeast Vancouver, northwest Vancouver, Howe Sound and west Fraser Valley.
Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Localized flooding in low-lying areas is possible. Landslides may occur in vulnerable areas such as steep slopes.
Rainfall warnings are issued when significant rainfall is expected. For the latest alert information visit Environment Canada.
