Wind warning issued for Howe Sound

Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Howe Sound. Strong winds that may cause damage are expected or occurring.

Yet another vigorous Pacific frontal system will approach the south coast tomorrow, Friday, December 14, bringing another round of strong winds to the region. Southeast winds of 70 km/h will develop on Friday afternoon over the exposed coastal sections. The winds will ease late Friday evening.

Damage to buildings, such as to roof shingles and windows, may occur. Loose objects may be tossed by the wind and cause injury or damage.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
More details on the alert are available here.
