Environment Canada has issued a wind warning for Howe Sound.
A Pacific low pressure system will approach the B.C. coast this evening. This system in combination with a ridge of high pressure over the B.C. interior will produce strong northerly outflow winds up to 70 km/h over the southern sections of Howe Sound. The winds are expected to ease Thursday morning as the system weakens.
High winds may toss loose objects or cause tree branches to break.
Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
