Work to replace the bridge on Eagle Run Drive is finished!

Project Background:

The Eagle Run Drive bridge was built circa 1978 as part of the original Brackendale subdivision construction. The existing bridge consists of red cedar log abutments lashed with 16 log stringers. The existing bridge has reached the end of its useful life and is in need of replacement this year. Recent bridge assesments indicate this project cannot be deferred.

Over the years, all of the utility providers have utilized this crossing over Dryden Creek for their infrastructure. These utility crossings have formed an integral part of the design solution proposed with this project.

Neighbourhood Impact:

Vehicle access across Eagle Run Drive at Dryden creek will be restricted during construction. Residents will have to use Dryden Road for vehicle access. We respectfully ask Dryden Road residents to obey the no parking signs and keep vehicles off the road where possible. We recognize the narrowness of the road and will be monitoring the traffic through this area as we may need to temporarily install no parking signs on both sides of the road.

No utility service interruptions are anticipated at this time.

The District certainly recognizes that this project will be a disruption to residents, businesses and visitors to your neighbourhood. We do thank you in advance for your patience during this time, and for your cooperation in planning around the construction as we complete this important work. Your support is appreciated!
