Geotechnical drilling work for X̱wún̓eḵw Park Sea Dike February 26-27

Geotechnical drilling will take place at X̱wún̓eḵw Park, located on the Mamquam Blind Channel and Loggers Lane between Victoria and Main Streets, on Wednesday, February 26 and Thursday, February 27 for the proposed X̱wún̓eḵw Park Sea Dike project which will upgrade the shoreline to provide flood protection for Downtown Squamish.

In addition to protection from coastal flooding hazards, this project aims to provide:

• Water access with ramps and dock
• Improved marine habitat
• Waterfront trail
• Support for the future Waterfront Landing pedestrian bridge and Sirocco ramps and floating dock

Personnel will be on-site through the duration of the work in order to direct the public away from the active work area. Please use caution and obey all posted signage.
