SCHEDULED WATER SHUT OFF AND PAVING NOTICE
CHEAKAMUS PLACE
Please be advised that the District of Squamish Utilities Department will be performing the tie-in to the new watermain in your area on Thursday October 3 from 8:30a.m.
As a result, there will be an interruption to your water service during the day. The District recommends that you fill your bathtub with water for household use including flushing toilets. As well, it is recommended that you either shut off your hot water tank or turn off the water to your house to avoid boiled breaker damage.
Once the new watermain tie-in is complete work will commence the same day paving. Please do not park on the Cheakamus Place during the day on Thursday, to ensure this work can be completed expeditiously.
We will strive to complete the job as soon as possible.
Thank you for you co-operation,
James McKerr
Supervisor
Utilities Department
Please expect delays and single lane traffic at times. Watch for and obey traffic control signs and staff.
Line painting has been delayed by the recent wet weather which has provided limited opportunity to complete the work. We’re working with Mother Nature and the contractor to complete as soon as possible!
