Board and Panel Meetings

Mandate: The Advisory Design Panel is an independent body that advises Staff and Council concerning the design of all residential multi-family, commercial and industrial buildings located in all Development Permit areas of Squamish (except DP Area No. 1 and DP Area No. 11). The Panel may also make recommendations to Staff and Council with respect to any policies or guidelines established by the District and any other matter referred to the Advisory Design Panel.

Schedule: Meets on the third Thursday of the month as required.

Mandate: The Board of Variance considers appeals for minor variance to the Zoning Bylaw and rules on appeal applications as set out in Section 899 of the Local Government Act. 

The Board is made up of three members who are appointed by Council. Questions regarding the Board of Variance may be directed to the Building Department at 604.815.6872 or to the Board of Variance Secretary at 604.815.5023.

Schedule: Meets the third Wednesday of the month as required.
