Fall service expansion in Squamish
FROM THE NEWSROOM OF BC TRANSIT
BC Transit and the District of Squamish are advising customers of a seasonal service change and service expansion, effective September 2, 2025.
This service change includes an expansion for several routes in the system.
To help improve travel opportunities between Brackendale, Garibaldi, Valleycliffe and Downtown Squamish, more service will be offered on the following routes:
- Route 1 Brackendale
- Route 2 Highlands
- Route 3 Valleycliffe
- Route 9 University
During the week, the additional service will be offered in the evening while weekend service will increase in the early mornings and later evening.
This service expansion in Squamish has been made possible by an increase in local government and provincial funding. The operating grant provided in the 2025-26 provincial budget will allow BC Transit and its local government partners to continue to provide safe and reliable service and demonstrates that public transit remains a priority in our communities.
As it does every fall, Route 5 South Parks will be seasonally discontinued starting September 2.
We encourage our customers to use the Umo app, Transit App, Google Transit or any other app of their choice for real-time bus tracking and planning your next transit journey.
