Heavy rain expected for Howe Sound on Monday

A weather alert has been issued Sunday afternoon by Environment Canada for Howe Sound. An intense frontal system will move across the BC Coast on Monday. Rain, heavy at times, will develop overnight over the Howe Sound region. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 70 mm is expected. The heavy rain will ease on Tuesday morning.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance.
