Approximately 1,700 recycling and organics totes were inspected during the week of July 29 for the first round of Curbside Tune-Ups across all neighbourhoods in Squamish.
Here are some of the most common items found in recycling totes that should be disposed of elsewhere:

Refundable bottles can be returned to the beverage store or Encorp Bottle Depot. Please remove the lid and rinse. All other glass can be recycled at Green For Life or the Squamish Landfill. Please remove the lid and rinse. |

Other Flexible Plastic |
Flexible plastic packaging such as zipper lock pouches, crinkly wrappers and bags, can be brought to the Green For Life Recycle Depot or London Drugs. |

Plastic bags and overwrap |
Green For Life Recycle Depot or the Squamish Landfill. Please ensure they are bagged within a clear plastic bag when dropped off. |

Foam Packaging |
Foam packaging such as egg cartons, food containers and trays, can be brought to the Green For Life Recycle Depot or the Squamish Landfill for recycling. |

Paper Towels |
Compost tote (dirty or clean). |
