Rainfall warning in effect for Howe Sound

Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for Howe Sound. 

Yet another frontal system will track across southern Vancouver Island on Sunday and move inland Sunday evening. As the front approaches, rain at times heavy will begin this evening and continue through Sunday. Total rainfall amounts of up to 70 mm are expected by Sunday evening.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
