VCH recommending playground equipment in plume zone be hosed

Vancouver Coastal Health is recommending all playground equipment and outdoor toys directly downwind of the smoke plume zone be hosed down with water. The VCH recommendation is being done out a complete abundance of caution; there is no known risk.

District Operations crews have been mobilized and are hosing District of Squamish and School District playgrounds in the plume zone. Signage will be posted in each playground as work is complete. Please visit squamish.ca/plumezone for a list of affected playgrounds and their status.
