Rainfall Warning issued for Howe Sound

Environment Canada has issued a Rainfall Warning for Howe Sound. Total rainfall amounts of 50 to 60 mm today through tonight.

A frontal system laden with subtropical moisture will move across B.C. South Coast today through Monday morning bringing rain to the region.

Over Howe Sound and eastern sections of Lower Fraser Valley, steady rain will persist today and become heavy this evening. The heavy rain will taper off overnight over Howe Sound and early Monday morning over eastern Fraser Valley.

Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #BCStorm.  More details on the alert are available here.
