The Province of British Columbia announced travel and fuel restrictions on Friday, November 19.

Highway 99 (Duffey Lake Road): OPEN to ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ONLY
The Province of British Columbia has announced that Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet is open to essential travel only, for the purpose of moving essential goods and services, and to allow stranded motorists to return to their homes.
Residents should expect increased traffic on Highway 99 and through the communities in the area.
Motorists should note the following:
- The Province of British Columbia has implemented travel and fuel restrictions.
- Highway 99 (Duffey Lake Road) will be open to essential travel ONLY, for those displaced by flooding, and for essential commercial traffic and emergency vehicles.
- Recreational travel, including to parks and backcountry areas is not permitted.
- Checkpoints will be in place, and motorists travelling for non-essential purposes will be rerouted.
- Highway 99 between Pemberton and Lillooet is a challenging highway: be prepared for delays with an emergency kit, food, water, warm clothes, blankets and other emergency supplies for this eventuality.
- There are no gas stations between Pemberton / Mt Currie and Lillooet, and supplies at these locations will be limited if not available.
