2016 Watermain Capital Works Projects
Timeline: June 27 through end of December
October 17 update:
- Kintyre Drive watermain installation underway from Bill’s Place working toward The Boulevard.
Project Details:
- These infrastructure improvement project address fire flow deficiencies and replace watermains at the highest risk of failure.
- A new loop within the water system will be installed from Eagle Run at Government Road to Eagle Run at Meadow Avenue. This project will increase the fire flows within the water system in Brackendale. This is the final project to complete the redundant water supply to Brackendale which began in 2012.
Neighbourhood Impact:
- Single lane alternating traffic within the immediate construction zone, throughout the project timeline.
- Temporary delays and detours will required short term during critical ties ins and road crossings.
- No service outages are anticipated at this time.
Additional Project Locations (to be completed this summer/fall):
- Garibaldi Estates - Pat Goode Park from Park Crescent to Cheakamus Way
- Industrial Park - Midway Road to Progress Way in the Industrial Park
- Garibaldi Highlands - Lower Kintyre Drive from the Boulevard to Bills Place
