Magee Road/Upper Squamish Valley Fire
The Magee Road Wildfire is considered under control.
The District of Squamish worked in close contact with lead agencies BC Wildfire Service, Squamish RCMP and the Squamish Lillooet Regional District (SLRD) to respond to a wildfire in the Upper Squamish Valley, within the SLRD. The fire was reported at 4:15 p.m. on April 15, 2020.
- As of April 23, the fire is no longer considered a "Wildfire of Note" by the BC Wildfire Service. Updates are no longer posted to the BC Wildfire Service website.
- This fire is considered 'Under Control'.
- The Evacuation Alert for the Paradise Valley was rescinded on April 19, 2020.
- Evacuation Orders and Alerts for the Squamish Valley were updated by the SLRD also on April 19, 2020. The remaining Evacuation Alert was rescinded by the SLRD on April 22, 2020.
