Mamquam Bridge Deck
The 81-meter long Mamquam River Bridge was built in 1987. It is the only municipal roadway connection between the north and south sides of the Squamish.
A 2023 assessment revealed significant damage to the deck and recommended rehabilitation as soon as possible.
To take advantage of the work already being done, active transportation improvements will be made at the same time, pending the results of a federal grant application. The design for these upgrades was chosen last year.
Completion of the rehabilitation work is scheduled for Summer 2026.
