How to recycle your holiday tree in Squamish

1. Organics tote: Trees can be placed in your organics tote for curbside pickup by doing the following: 

• Removing all tinsel, lights and decorations;
• Cutting off all branches;
• Cutting the tree trunk to no more than 3 feet long and 3 inches in diameter;
• Ensuring all pieces easily fit into the tote, allowing the lid to close and lock.

2. By-donation tree chipping: Squamish Scouts are offering tree chipping by donation on Saturday, January 4 and Sunday, January 5 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Canadian Tire parking lot.

3. Squamish Landfill: Trees may be brought to the Squamish Landfill; yard waste tipping fees will apply.
