Virgin Mobile Presents Squamish Valley Music Festival: Celebrating throughout the community of Squamish

Vancouver, B.C. – Throughout the duration of Virgin Mobile Presents Squamish Valley Music Festival, there will be a sense of celebration felt both on Festival grounds and within the community of Squamish. Many local organizations and businesses are joining in on a great weekend of music and festivities.

Highlights outside of the Festival include:

• Sea to Sky Gondola Yoga and Music
• An opportunity to ride the gondola 885m above Squamish, to experience free outdoor concerts in a unique location, and access mountain top yoga at 5:00 PM on Sunday. Festival guests receive $5.00 off the gondola experience when they show their Festival wristband at the ticket window. Pop-up bands will be performing on the deck at the top of the gondola on Saturday and Sunday before the festival gates open. The 9,000 square foot viewing deck offers fresh local cuisine and beverages on a patio that overlooks Howe Sound on one side and Sky Pilot Mountain on the other.
• Squamish Farmers Market
• Get back to your roots at the Squamish Farmers' Market on Saturday from 10 AM to 3 PM in Downtown Squamish.
• Squamish Adventure Centre
• The Squamish Adventure Centre is the one-stop shop for activities and information; located just over 1km away from downtown and is easy to get to by taking the SVMF shuttle.
• 4^th Annual On The Street Festival in Downtown Squamish
• Head to Downtown Squamish on Saturday and Sunday to experience the 4^th Annual On the Street Festival. The Squamish Lions and Elks will be serving up a pancake breakfast to locals and festivalgoers in the O’Siyam Park. The stage is set to get you warmed up with live music and while you’re there, shop for all your last minute SVMF needs.

In order to welcome visitors from around the world the Street Team will be roaming the music Festival grounds, campgrounds and transportation hubs to distribute helpful information and insider tips to festival attendees. The street team coupled with the SVMF festival mobile app, which lists things to do, see, and eat, will ensure visitors have the opportunity to fully experience what Squamish has to offer on top of a world-class festival.

Mumford & Sons, Drake, Sam Smith, and over 70 artists from across the globe are set to grace the four stages this Aug. 7, 8 & 9, 2015. The Festival will take place at the Logger Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields in picturesque Squamish, British Columbia.
