New Wildfire Reported

A small wildfire (V31805) began overnight which was visible and reported from some areas of Valleycliffe and Crumpit Woods. A BC Wildfire Service (BCWS) crew is actioning the fire. The fire is reported as being 0.009 hectare in size and currently classified as 'being held'.

Squamish Fire Rescue is maintaining contact with BCWS, though isn't currently involved due to the accessibility of the terrain.

Yesterday's fires north of Squamish west of Highway 99 near the salt sheds are both reported as being under control. A third fire further south of these first two is reported as being held.
