Public urged to use extra caution following recent cougar sightings

Signage has been posted in the Eaglewind Park neighbourhood following recent sightings of a cougar in the area. The sightings occurred on Thursday, November 10 and Friday, November 11.

Wildlife can and should be anticipated whenever you are out on the trails and adjacent to natural areas in Squamish. Be sure to make noise, keep dogs on leash and be extra vigilant.

Please report all wildlife sightings and/or encounters to the Conservation Officer Service 24-hour hotline at 1-877-952-7277 (RAPP).
