Special weather statement issued for:  Howe Sound, B.C.

Current details:
Strong winds expected today.

An intense Pacific cold front will move across the south coast near mid day. Strong southerly winds over many areas this morning will shift to strong west or northwest this afternoon.

Winds will gust to 70 km/h with locally stronger gusts this afternoon and evening. Power outages are possible at these wind speeds. Refer to your local public forecast for more details.

Winds will ease later tonight as a ridge of high pressure builds over the region.
