A Development Permit (DP) for the construction of two 6-storey residential buildings: a 100-unit affordable rental building (Squamish Community Housing Society), and a 65-unit supportive housing building Squamish Helping Hands). The application will be evaluated against the DP guidelines for Form and Character, Protection from Wildfire, Environmental Protection, and Protection from Flood Hazard.

Project Details:

Note: only the affordable rental building is subject to the Form and Character guidelines. No rezoning or variance applications are required for these buildings, as not-for-profit affordable and supportive housing is permitted in all residential zones. This is a delegated DP and the application will be considered by the Senior Director of Community Development and not by Council.
