Notice of Public Hearing April 28, 2026 at 6 p.m.

Notice is hereby given that a PUBLIC HEARING will be held at The 55 Activity Centre, 1201 Village Green Way, Squamish, British Columbia at 6 p.m. on April 28, 2026, so that Council may hear and receive representations from persons who believe that their interest in property is affected by the following proposed amendments to the District of Squamish Zoning Bylaw 2200, 2011 Amendment Bylaw (CD-Zone 107, The Village on Bailey Street) No. 2671, 2023. Affected Lands

Located at 1331, 1251, and a portion of 1100 Bailey Street, and 38261 Cleveland Avenue, Squamish, British Columbia, referenced on the Location Map.

Proposed Zoning Amendment

To rezone the properties shown on the Location Map from Downtown Commercial (C-4), Rail Transportation (I-6) and Resource (RE) to Comprehensive Development 107 (CD-107) zone and Ecological Reserve (P-4).

How to Participate

Persons who believe that their interests are affected by the proposed amendments will have an opportunity to be heard and to present written submissions for the Hearing. There are two ways to participate:

Written. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, or do not wish to speak at the hearing, you can still participate by submitting your written comments to [email protected], or by dropping them off at Municipal Hall before 4 p.m. on April 28, 2026 to the attention of the Corporate Officer. Written submissions will be accepted up to and during the hearing and will form part of the public record. 

In Person Attendance. You are invited to participate in person during the public hearing at The 55 Activity Centre, 1201 Village Green Way, Squamish, British Columbia.

A copy of the proposed bylaws and related information that has been or may be considered by Council is available for public inspection at Municipal Hall (37955 Second Avenue) from April 16, 2026, to April 28, 2026, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding statutory holidays; or online at squamish.ca/the-village-on-bailey.

Council will not consider submissions received after the close of the Public Hearing.
