Paving Program

THE DISTRICT OF SQUAMISH PAVING PROGRAM

The District of Squamish Paving Program rehabilitates roads that are in poor condition. Each year the District of Squamish (DOS) budgets approximately $1,000,000 for upgrades. Generally 10 to 20 roads are rehabilitated each year.

The five-year outlook for planned upgrades to roads is outlined on the paving web map below. The five-year outlook is based on a Pavement Management Program (PMP) developed by EBA Engineering.  The PMP assessed all the roads within the DOS and provided the optimal funding level that will sustain quality and value of the Districts pavement network.

The 2014 Paving Program will begin the second week of April and continue until approximately the end of September.  The table below outlines the anticipated completion month but work is weather dependent so scheduling will change through out the construction season.  A portion of the roads in the table and map below are planned in conjuction with the DOS watermain replacement projects, and paving is dependent on replacement projects being completed prior to paving.
