North Crumpit Neighbourhood Planning Process
Project Status: Current
North Crumpit Lands are designated as “Residential Neighbourhood” which is intended to accommodate residential growth for Squamish.
- Description:
The District of Squamish has received an application to amend the Official Community Plan (OCP) with the inclusion of a Neighbourhood Plan that covers the North Crumpit lands in Valleycliffe. A Neighbourhood Planning Process is now underway for the North Crumpit property. Details about the planning process, including information about participation opportunities, can be found at https://www.northcrumpit.com.
The development application does not include a proposed development plan; the intention of the application is that a development plan will be created through the neighbourhood planning process.
The proposed Neighbourhood Plan boundary is limited to the southern portion of Lot 1 District Lots 514 AND 515 Plan EPP95956 (identified below in yellow), approximately 103 ha in area and which is contained within the District’s Growth Management Boundary (GMB) established in the OCP.

Proposed Planning Process
District of Squamish staff have worked with the applicant to outline a general planning process for the preparation of the Neighbourhood Plan. The following engagement plan was approved by Council later in July 2021.
