January 26 - Program Update (due to Public Health Order)

As per the Provincial Health Order issued on January 18, 2021:

  • Individual and group fitness programs can resume with additional safety measures in place.

Fitness/dance and group exercise classes have resumed with enhanced COVID-19 safety measures in place. A B.C. Vaccine Card with QR Code showing proof of two doses is required in order to participate in all Squamish Recreation Services programs and activities, as ordered by the Provincial Health Officer. Thank you for continuing to approach these new measures with kindness and patience as we move through these steps towards protecting ourselves and each other.

Vaccine Requirements

Updated January 26

Proof of vaccination is required to attend certain programs and activities held at District of Squamish recreation facilities, by order of the Provincial Health Officer. Those registered in a program to which the vaccine requirement applies will be asked to present proof of vaccine for scanning.

B.C. Vaccine Card is required to show full proof of vaccine. Get the B.C. Vaccine Card here. This requirement is in place until June 30 2022 and could be extended.

  • Proof of vaccination (12 and older) will be checked at entry prior to payment.

As of November 18, proof of vaccination is required by the following:

  • All spectators of child/youth programs and sports; this includes spectators of pool activities.

  • Parents assisting their child or youth in programs and sports.

The content in the tables below is based on the guidance provided through the  PHO order — Gatherings and Events (PDF, 417KB) document.
