The 55 Activity Centre

Offers programming opportunities for health and wellness, visual and performing arts, social opportunities and events, education, and intergenerational connections for Squamish’s diverse population across a wide range of ages, interests, and abilities. The 55 offers a welcoming space for adults and those 55+ to meet and connect with other locals.

Monday: Closed
Tuesday: 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday: 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Squamish 55+ Community Society:

The Squamish 55+ Community Society is made up of hardworking volunteers who collaborate with Recreation Services staff and fulfill the following roles:

  • Engage with community members to ensure that the community’s recreational needs are met.
  • Seek fundraising and grant opportunities to potentially augment the services, programs, and activities available for older adults.
  • Support and promote volunteerism amongst older adults in the community.
  • To be consulted on, to advise, and/or make recommendations to Recreation Services staff regarding programming/activity options and opportunities.
